Why Florida Flyers?

Our Policiy: We want to be recocnized as one of the best training providers in Florida.

We have a fundamentally different concept. We understand that our customers need and want well-maintained, safe aircraft and effective flight training within the timespan we specify. As a flight school with mid-range prices, we operate with an effective aircraft fleet. We have aircraft for every need: everything from the Cessna 152, a popular and inexpensive trainer for most beginning pilots, to our modern updated Cessna 172 SP aircraft with G1000 glass cockpits. Our fleet has the right aircraft for every taste, every style, and every budget.

As you can imagine that there is almost nothing available between the two extremes of “old and cheap” and “ultra-modern, brand new, and expensive.” That’s why we’ve positioned ourselves at the happy medium. We combine inexpensive, proven aircraft with excellent maintenance and upkeep along with modern cockpits in popular, affordable aircraft types. By law, every aircraft used for flight training in the United States must undergo a thorough inspection every 100 hours as well as an annual general inspection and has to be maintained in accordance to the manufacturer recommendations. We want you to feel safe, so we have our own outstanding maintenance shop at the St. Augustine airport.

This not only ensures that aircraft are always available for our customers, it also maintains an exceptionally high safety standard and helps us find anything that does need attention as quickly as possible.

Our Paperless Part 141 computer system gives our customers an on-line overview of how they are progressing in their training, shows their flight scheduling, allows for aircraft reservation for future flights and gives you an overview about your training level. You will get an overview about the current maintenance status of the airplanes, upcoming inspections, time to the next inspections as well as information regarding your account and bills.

Transparency is one important item in our company policy.

We don’t let anyone fly an aircraft we wouldn’t personally fly ourselves. Safety is more important to us than profit margins. Our satisfied customers strengthen our conviction every day in our philosophy and concept.

The owner ran a successful business with many employees in Germany for many years himself. We are conscious of the fact that you are using your important time to complete your flight training with us. That’s why we have designed our training plans to help you earn the desired license or rating effectively, and at an affordable cost.
