Getting around

-> Scooters

There are other ways of getting around St. Augustine if you'd rather not rent a car while you're here.

One way to get transportation at a bargain price is to rent a motor scooter from us. You can even buy one, ride it around while you're here, and then sell it back to us before you leave.
 
We offer this service directly at the flight school.
 
->Rent Kymco Scooter for 4 weeks: about $380.00 for full service
->Buy small (50 cc) Kymco Scooter for about $999.00, sell it back for about $450.00
 
->Rental car sharing

You probably will not be the only flight student here. Not every student or pilot needs a rental car of his or her own, so it has become popular to share rental cars. We can give suggestions, but we cannot reserve anything specific for you. It would be best to find a fellow flight student here who is willing to share his or her rental car with you.

->Bicycle

Good old "pedal power" is also an option, of course, but cycling is not without risk. In the United States, you see bicycles used as transportation only in big cities like New York. We also have two bikes for rental available. St. Augustine is not designed for cyclists at all and does not even have bike paths. If you are courageous enough to navigate the heavy traffic on US 1 and bike to the airport, it is certainly good exercise, but it can be extremely dangerous--be careful!
