Instrument Rating

Overview

If you want to be free to fly in nearly any weather conditions, or if you want to complete advanced flight training and acquire additional skills and knowledge, the Instrument Rating -- Aircraft is exactly what you need.

Requirements

Our Part 141 course requires a minimum of 35 hours of instrument flight time. To obtain the required instrument flight time about 42 hours of total flight time will be necessary.

Based on a non-US license

Once you have completed the Verification of Authenticity process, you can use your foreign license to fulfill the prerequisites for pursuing an Instrument Rating -- Aircraft. However, your foreign license as well as your foreign medical must be currently active and valid. You can also earn a full US license to pursue an instrument rating, but this is only necessary if you want a US license completely independent of your foreign license. If this is the case, we recommend completing a US PPL followed by an instrument rating, or doing an instrument rating in combination with a US commercial license.
