RequirementsOur Part 141 course requires a minimum of 35 hours of instrument flight time. To obtain the required instrument flight time about 42 hours of total flight time will be necessary. ![]() Based on a non-US license Once you have completed the Verification of Authenticity process, you can use your foreign license to fulfill the prerequisites for pursuing an Instrument Rating -- Aircraft. However, your foreign license as well as your foreign medical must be currently active and valid. You can also earn a full US license to pursue an instrument rating, but this is only necessary if you want a US license completely independent of your foreign license. If this is the case, we recommend completing a US PPL followed by an instrument rating, or doing an instrument rating in combination with a US commercial license. |
