Overview

Assuming good weather and a full-time flying schedule, you can complete your flight training in three weeks (for professionals) or four weeks (for most others).

When paired with a valid medical certificate and the required periodic flight review, the US PPL is valid for life. It is also a fairly simple matter to reactivate an inactive license. To do this, you will need a valid medical and a flight review with a flight instructor.

Pilots must complete a flight review every 24 month which includes a minimum of 1 hour of flight and 1 hour of ground instruction.
