Costs for ground school/theory instruction

There are several prep packages available to help you study for the written exam. To minimize Ground school lessons the study course has to be a FAA approved home study course. Our offices in Europe, Dr. Sebastian Schulte (Germany), Mr. Mag. Michael Ebner (Austria/Switzerland) would be happy to provide FAA approved study material to you, if your shipping address is within Europe.

All products are also available at our pilot store in St. Augustine.

You won't need on-site theory classes, except for a few lessons given along with practical
instruction

You can be flexible and study on your schedule

To become familiar with all radio communication procedures we highly recommend the training software from COMM1. Two versions are available, VFR Comm training and IFR Comm training. Both versions are in stock in our European offices or ready to buy at our Flight School in St. Augustine.

We generally recommend that you buy training materials like charts, headsets, and plotters in the USA. Items are up to 40% cheaper here than in Europe, and you won't have to pay any sales tax for shipping to a Florida address. You can order everything you need in the United States and have it shipped to your hotel. You can also buy these items right here at Florida Flyers for a reasonable price.
