Do I need to get a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit?

Anyone who operates an aircraft radio outside of the United States needs to have a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Applying for this license is just a formality. Everyone who applies receives the license. You just have to pay a fee for it.

The Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit is sent to the address you list on the application in two to three weeks.

You fly an N-registered plane outside of the United States
